Inspector General Anurag Kaushik takes over as Chief of Staff at Coast Guard Regional Headquarters-East

Inspector General Anurag Kaushik assumed charge as Chief of Staff at the Indian Coast Guard (ICG) Regional Headquarters (East) in Visakhapatnam on Tuesday.

An officer with a career spanning over 31 years, Mr. Kaushik joined the Indian Coast Guard on July 8, 1995. An expert in communication, he is an alumnus of College of Defence Management, Secunderabad, and the National Defence College, New Delhi.

Throughout his service, he has held a variety of high-profile operational, staff, and command appointments. His command experience includes serving as the commanding officer of Hovercraft 187, ICGS Sujay, Coast Guard Station Vadinar, and Coast Guard District Headquarters No. 2 (Maharashtra).

In his various staff roles, he has served as the Joint Director (Communication) at Coast Guard Headquarters (CGHQ), Chief Staff Officer (Operations) at Coast Guard Regional Headquarters (North-West). He previously held the position of Chief of Staff at Coast Guard Regional Headquarters (East). Before taking up his current assignment in the city, he served as the Principal Director (Communication and Search and Rescue) at the Coast Guard Headquarters.
