Coimbatore Book Festival from July 17 to 26

The Coimbatore District Small Industries Association (CODISSIA) will organise the 10th edition of Coimbatore Book Festival from July 17 to 26 at the CODISSIA Trade Fair Complex in Coimbatore city. The fair will have 200 exhibitors setting up 400 stalls across three halls. Publishers from over 10 States, including Maharashtra, Gujarat, Haryana and New Delhi, are participating in the festival this year, the organisers said.

The 10-day event will have literary sessions, cultural programmes, contests, debates and talks by eminent persons. This year, there will be “Meet a Scientist” session for school students. Daily programmes at the festival will include book launches, poetry workshops, story telling, book reading, elocution contest and short story contests. An archaeological exhibition and a night sky observation session through modern telescope will be organised in association with the Regional Science Centre, Coimbatore.

The festival will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on all days and visitors can register online by logging on to visitors.codissia.com or scan the QR code at the venue. Entry is free for all, said a press release from the organisers.
